Global Admissions Preparation · Cohort 2025
Ascensia prepares the world's highest-potential students — from Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East — to compete for and win admission to top global universities. At no cost to students, ever.
Harvard will pay full tuition for a student whose family earns under $85,000 a year. Most students who qualify have never heard that. — The founding premise of Ascensia
Each number here represents a generation of students who had the ability to attend a world-class university — and never applied. Not because they weren't capable. Because the system never told them it was possible.
Average student-to-counselor ratio in US public high schools. In most state schools across sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia, dedicated college counselors are virtually nonexistent.
NACAC / ASCAPercentage-point enrollment gap between high-income and low-income families, driven by non-academic factors — cost perception and the absence of anyone who has done it before.
Brookings, 2023Universities in the US with need-blind admissions for international students. Harvard, Yale, Princeton, MIT, Amherst, Bowdoin, Dartmouth, Brown — each will cover 100% of demonstrated need. Most of their potential applicants have never heard of them.
Verified 2025Of international students at US universities receive some form of financial aid. The crisis isn't that aid doesn't exist. It's that qualified students don't apply because they assume they can't afford it.
IIE, 2023"We came to the conclusion that we weren't reaching all the talented students who might think of Harvard as an opportunity."
Griffin Director of Financial Aid — Harvard Gazette, 2018Ascensia is a 14–16 month cohort-based program that takes high-potential students from the start of junior year through final application submission. Every component is designed to work together. The program is grant-funded and free to every student.
17 tracks covering every dimension of the application — testing, essays, financial aid, college research, non-US admissions, and more. Built for every global school system.
1:1 matching with a current student at one of the applicant's target universities. No textbook or consultant can replicate someone who just walked through the same door.
Hands-on guidance through every component — essays, activity descriptions, recommendation strategy, financial aid forms, and deadline management across all platforms.
The cohort model creates shared accountability and a network that persists for life. Every graduate joins the alumni mentor network — making the program stronger with every class.
A Harvard sophomore who lived this process last year knows things no advisor, no book, and no search result can tell a student applying today. That person is both the product and the moat.
"I had a 3.9 GPA and no one at my school had ever applied to Harvard. I didn't know where to start — or that they'd cover almost everything for my family."
"My family earns under $60,000. MIT costs us nothing. Nobody told us that was real — and I almost didn't apply because I assumed it was impossible."
"What I needed wasn't more information. It was someone who had actually walked through the door and could tell me it was real."
Intelligence and talent are distributed evenly across the world. Opportunity is not. Every student who completes Ascensia becomes proof that the gap can be closed — and every one who becomes a mentor ensures the next student has a shorter distance to travel.
Applications are open to students in Grades 10–11 across Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. No fee. No prerequisite except ambition and the willingness to do the work.
Apply as a studentIf you recently got into a top university from an underrepresented region, your story is the most valuable thing we have to offer the next student. If you represent a foundation or institution, we'd welcome that conversation.
