Applications Open · Cohort 2025
Whether you're a student ready to compete for the world's best universities, a recent graduate ready to mentor the next one, or a partner ready to fund the gap — this is where the conversation begins.
If you recently got into a top university from an underrepresented region — you are exactly who the next Ascensia student needs. Not a ten-year veteran. Not an advisor. You, this year, with the information still fresh.
Mentorship is structured, supported, and meaningful. You'll be matched with one student, guided through the relationship, and supported throughout. Time commitment is approximately 1–2 hours per week during the program's most intensive periods.
Yes, entirely. The program is grant-funded and partnership-funded. No student is ever turned away for financial reasons — that principle is structural, not aspirational.
Students currently in Grade 10 or Grade 11 (Year 11 or Year 12 in UK systems). We accept students across all school types — government, private national, and international schools.
Ascensia currently targets Africa, South Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East. If you're in another region and believe you fit the profile, apply — we read every application individually.
The program runs 14–16 months from orientation through application submission. Expect approximately 3–5 hours per week during the school year, with heavier periods around essay season and application deadlines.
We select for potential, not perfection. We want students who, with Ascensia's support, can become competitive — not students who are already fully prepared. If you have drive and ambition, apply.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. You will receive a response within three weeks of submission. If you are invited to continue, the next step is a short interview with a member of the Ascensia team.
